designing comms for a fashion show
ACTING AS cOMMUNICATIONS CHAIR FOR THE 96TH ANNUAL WASHU FASHION DESIGN SHOW,
I led the development of the show’s official print program, from initial concept to final production. The Fashion Design Show (FDS) brought together the senior fashion class, faculty, models, and the broader St. Louis community in celebration of design. My role bridged visual storytelling, event logistics, and last-minute problem-solving — helping bring the vision to life on paper and behind the scenes. See the full print program below!
My Roles
Designed the Fashion Program
I created a 36-page print program that honored each designer’s work while aligning with the show’s visual identity. I built out layouts, finalized typography and image placement, and worked through multiple print deadlines and feedback cycles. The program needed to be clean, easy to navigate, and visually representative of the designers’ aesthetics — a piece people would hold onto after the show.
Supported Day-Of Production
I attended model fittings and helped manage dressers, making sure models were styled correctly and runway-ready. I also assisted with distribution and guest communications during the show, making sure people had programs, understood the flow of the event, and felt welcomed.
Contributed to Editorial Direction
In early March, I helped coordinate the creative direction of Maggie Maichel’s editorial shoot, balancing designer vision with production needs. I supported with shot lists, styling notes, and set logistics.
